Strapping tools
The strapping tools are portable devices designed to perform the strapping cycle at a workstation: tensioning, sealing, and cutting the strap to secure the load.
They are the ideal option when you need:
- Flexibility for different kind of strapping formats or locations.
- Mobility (strapping in different areas of the plant).
- A fast system for shipments, cargo preparation, or specific jobs.
At SAIZAR we work with tools for steel and polyester (PET) strap.
Pneumatic tools for steel strap (FSA)
Our Pneumatic strapping tools for steel strap are designed for tasks where you need power and repeatability in tensioning, with single or double staple closure depending on the model. They are combined strapping machines, so that they can perform the entire sealing process using a single tool.
Reference example (FSA-19):
- Strap: steel, 19 mm (with specified thickness range)
- Sealing: single staple or doublé staple
- Working preassure: 5,5–7 bar
- Maximum tension: hasta 9000 N (depending on configuration)
- Seal strength: 75–80% (variable depending on strap)
The range also includes steel pneumatic models in 16, 19, 25 y 32 mm sizes.
We also have separate strapping tools, where we can tension the strap using a pneumatic tensioner and then seal it using a pneumatic sealer.
Hand tools for steel strap (FSM)
When you are looking for a robust and simple system, our steel hand tools allow you to work without air or batteries, with a notch closure.
Reference example (FSM-16/19):
- Strap: steel 16 / 19 mm
- Sealing: notching
- Maximum tension: 5500 N
- Seal strength: 75–80% (vaiable depending on strap)
Pneumatic strapping tools for PET strap (FSP)
For PET strap, pneumatic tools close by vibration welding (vibration/friction), with different models depending on width.
Reference example (FSP-25/32):
- Strap: PET, 25–32 mm
- Sealing: vibration welding
- Working pressure: 6–7 bar
- Maximum tension: up to 6000 N
- Seal strength: 75–80% (variable depending on strap)
The range also includes PET pneumatic models in 16/19 y 25/32 mm.
Battery strapping tools for PET strap (FSB)
If you need total mobility, our battery-powered tools for PET allow you to work without an air line, with friction sealing (welding)
Reference example (FSB-25/32):
- Strap: PET, 25 or 32 mm
- Sealing: friction welding
- Battery: Li-Ion 36V – 2.5Ah
- Maximum tension: 2700–8000 N
- Seal strength: 75% (variable depending on strap)
he range also includes PET battery models in 16/19 y 25/32 mm.
In-plant advantages
Flexibility and speed:
at variable strapping points (shipments, repeated strapping, special loads)
Real mobility:
with pneumatic, manual, or battery options depending on your operation
Compatible with steel and PET:
choosing the most suitable closure method for your load
Consistent joints:
staple/notch in steel or vibration/friction welding in PET
How to choose the right tool
Type of strap:
steel or PET
Width and thickness:
of the strap (for example: 19 mm in steel, 25–32 mm in PET depending on the model)
Tension target:
and packaging requirements (maximum tension ranges per model)
Energy available:
at the workstation: compressed air (pneumatic), none (manual), or full mobility (battery)
Desired sealing type:
staple/notch in steel or vibration/friction welding in PET
Type of load:
and shape (packages, coils, irregular, edges, etc.) to choose ergonomics and range
Storage & transportation method:
depending on how the product is stored and transported, we suggest the most convenient solution

If you need operational continuity, we provide technical assistance for pneumatic strapping machines and manual strapping tools, including the support necessary to ensure their proper functioning.
Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between pneumatic and battery-powered tools?
The pneumatic system requires compressed air; the battery-powered system gives you total mobility without hoses, ideal for strapping in different areas.
What straps do we use in strapping tools?
With steel and PET, depending on the model.
How is steel strap sealed with our tools?
For steel tires, we work with single or double staples, and for manual tires, we use the notching sealing system, depending on the model.
How is PET strap sealed with our tools?
With vibration and friction welding.
What sealing resistance can we expect?
The different models indicate 75–80%, varying according to the type of strap.
What working pressures do we need in pneumatics?
Between 6 – 7 bares.
What tension levels do the tools reach?
It depends on the model, the type of strap, and the strap size: for example, FSA-19 reaches up to 9000 N, FSP-25/32 up to 6000 N, FSB-25/32 up to 8000 N, and manual FSM up to 5500 N.
Which tool should I choose for 25–32 mm in PET?
We can go with pneumatic (FSP-25/32) or battery (FSB-25/32) depending on whether you prioritize air at the workstation or mobility.
Do you have a full range of widths?
Yes, we work with models by size range, for example 16/19 and 25/32.
Can you help us select the right model?
Yes, depending on the type of product, its handling and subsequent storage, the strapping (width/thickness), tension target, and available energy, we recommend the most suitable option.
