Weighing systems

At SAIZAR, we integrate weighing systems into our strapping and packaging lines as a complementary part of the process. The aim is to enable you to incorporate weight control directly into your own facility, without relying on external operations or manual off line steps.

Weighing is important when you need to control the weight of the product, improve traceability and link that information to other parts of the production line, such as labelling or customer control systems. In our range of automated production lines, the weighing system is one of the components that can be integrated along conveying, lifting, compacting, forming, strapping, labelling and wrapping systems.

How we integrate weighing in SAIZAR

We design each weighing system to suit the product, the flow of the facility and the point in the process where it makes the most sense to capture the information. We do not treat weighing as an isolated element, but as part of a comprehensive packaging solution.

Integrated weighing on trolleys, tables, conveyors or lifts

We can integrate weighing systems into trolleys, tables, conveyors or lifts, depending on the line design and the way the product moves within the plant. This allows us to adapt the weighing point to the actual path of the material and ensure consistency with the rest of the installation.

Integration with quality control and labelling

The weight data can be used to enhance quality control and traceability, and it can also be sent to both the customer’s computer and the labeller itself. In this way, the weight is integrated into the production line’s data flow and can form part of the final product labelling.

The weight data can also be used for any commercial transactions the customer may wish to carry out, for the sale of the product.

On-site benefits

Integrating weighing into the production line helps you organize your process more efficiently and provide you more useful information within the production flow itself. By not removing the product from the facility to weigh it, you reduce intermediate operations and maintain a more continuous workflow. This integration becomes even more valuable when weight forms part of internal process control or exit labelling.

Typical benefits of this solution:

  • Weight control in the production line itself, without relying on external processes.
  • More traceability, as weight data can be incorporated into the facility’s information flow.
  • Integration with labelling, so that the weight can be included on the product’s final label.
  • Adaptation to your plant layout, integrating weighing into trolleys, tables, conveyors or lifts.
  • A custom project, as the system forms part of a line designed to meet your actual needs.

What we need to prepare a quote for you

To properly define the weighing system, we usually need to know the product it needs to be strapped, its weight, its minimum and maximum dimensions, the target productivity and the space available on the production floor. It is also important to know what other elements you wish to integrate into the line, as weighing is often coordinated with equipment related to the handling, lifting or labelling of the product.

Within the same project, we also work with data relating to communication, databases, etc., that you wish to include in the installation. Furthermore, it is very helpful for us to have a photo of the installation space and the product so that we can better tailor the system design from the outset.
